Our client, a $1.4 Billion dollar global organization, seeks a strong Accounting Manager. The appropriate candidate will be expected to be willing to dig in and learn a process and function from the ground up. The role requires a solid grasp of GAAP, Sox and data security controls. There will be a management component that includes over sight of the timely processing of daily and monthly financial information in a high volume environment in an effort to ensure consistent processes, meaningful controls and adherence to deadlines and service agreements.
Expectations
Solid educational background.
Knowledge of accounting systems, GAAP, accounting procedures, Sarbanes Oxley, and reconciliation requirements
Skilled in PC applications, specific ability in MS Excel – Visual Basic, Access, and database experience preferred
Knowledge of Financial Reporting Tools (Oracle Financials, Essbase)
Excellent ability to manage staff and solid communication skills at all levels of authority
Excellent analytical skills
Knowledge of accounting standards relating to banking is a plus
Ability to understand operational flows to assist teams with their functions
